FINANCIAL OVERVIEW 2023/24 AND DRAFT BUDGET 2024/25
The Board noted the financial overview 2023/24 and the draft budget for 2024/25.
RACING STRATEGY UPDATE: PRIORITIES, DELIVERY AND TIMETABLE
The Board received an update on the Racing Strategy and noted that it comprised a wide range of planned programmes of work that collectively came together as a portfolio of projects, all of which were at different stages of development.
HORSERACING INDUSTRY PEOPLE BOARD
The Board received an update on the Horseracing Industry People Board and that it was on schedule to publish a People Strategy by June 2024.
GREAT BRITISH RACING
The Board received an update from Great British Racing.
NON-FIXTURE GRANT APPLICATIONS
The Board awarded grants to a number of applicants, details of which would be publicised in due course.
RACECOURSE ATTENDANCE DATA COLLECTION/REPORTING
The Board agreed that it would continue to be responsible for collecting and reporting fixture attendance data, but that it would facilitate direct access to the data in its systems by RCA and would liaise with RCA in terms of co-ordinating when and how this data was released.
DCMS/HBLB FRAMEWORK DOCUMENT
The Board noted that a new DCMS/HBLB Framework Document had now been published.
MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS TO 31 DECEMBER 2023
The Board approved the Management Accounts to 31 December 2023.
