Paul Lee, chairman of HBLB from 2009 to 2020, has been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours list with an OBE for services to horseracing.
HBLB Chairman Paul Darling commented: "This is thoroughly deserved and will be warmly welcomed by Paul's many friends in racing, betting and beyond and by all at HBLB. His outstanding stewardship left HBLB in sound financial shape, the benefits of which have been apparent in recent months.”
Paul Lee said: “I am very pleased to have received this honour. It was a great privilege to chair HBLB for so long. The award is truly a recognition of the important contribution which everyone at HBLB makes and it was an absolute pleasure to work with such a great group of people in a wonderful industry.”
