Godfrey Ayres

We wish to announce the departure of Godfrey Ayres, Deputy Chief Executive, who is leaving the Horserace Betting Levy Board to pursue other opportunities.

Godfrey has worked for the Horserace Betting Levy Board since 1995 and has served as Deputy Chief Executive since October 2004.

Chairman Robert Hughes said, "The Board would like to thank Godfrey for the expert management of the Capital Fund which has dramatically modernised British racecourses during his stewardship. Godfrey has also contributed significantly to the Board's other activities to support Racing, especially the highly successful development of the HFL site at Fordham, which was sold earlier this year for £20.25M."

Godfrey Ayres said, "I have enjoyed working with the racecourse customers and wish them future successful development of their facilities".

We wish Godfrey every success in his future endeavours.
